Expel Warm Air

Outside the room is a unit containing a compressor, and the condenser coils, with another fan that circulates the outside
air through the condenser. This unit generates a lot of warm air and expels it into the outside air. The warm air from
the outside unit is not mixed with the room air. When the user chooses to let fresh air into the room, the unit takes
it from another opening and mixes it with the room air.

Compressor

A compressor is a mechanical device that increases the pressure of a gas by reducing its volume. An air compressor is a
specific type of gas compressor.

Cooling

Air sucked in from outside passes over evaporator coils where the cold liquid refrigerant is sitting,
cooling the air significantly before blowing it into the room.

Wall Mounted Indoor Unit

Wall mounted - The most popular type of split system, wall mounted air conditioners look great and are highly
effective at cooling and heating individual rooms. They are energy efficient and run quietly.

Indoor unit

Ceiling mounted (cassette) - This type of split system is ideal for houses without external wall access and limited ceiling space
for a ducted system.
